Watching the Detectives

In April 2013, a bomb caused bloodshed at the Boston marathon. In the immediate aftermath, an army of people on the internet set to work on social media to identify the perpetrator by uploading images of the crime scene. But who watches those who are watching ? Chris Kennedy pursues the task with precision and irony by placing his 16mm camera in front of his computer screen, using only conversations and photos shared on sites like Reddit and 4chan to reveal the chilling mechanisms of denunciation.
