The child in us remembers, the title is Baloo’s song, the bohemian bear, Mowgli’s guide in The Jungle Book, Disney’s version. This time, though, no singing, no Mowgli. If Disney’s drawings are used again, it’s, on the one hand, once all anthropomorphism colonizing this tale’s animals is jettisoned; and extended, on the other hand, in their appropriate gesture: stretching, sleeping, moving around, etc. In the end, the grand animal dumbness, and its pure beauty.
