Obscuro Barroco
A film about the dizzying heights of gender and metamorphosis and also, a film tribute to
a land of extremes, the city of Rio de Janeiro. Following the journey of the iconic transexual
figure Luana Muniz (1961-2017), the film explores various quests for the self through crossdressing, carnival and political struggle. It questions the wish to transform the intimate and social body.
