Except for those films conceived and produced for television, Beckett will only have signed one project for cinema, the famous Film with Buster Keaton as principal actor. The result is as enigmatic as it is staggering. It is the narrative in this production, in the most adventurous course than one might have suspected, which is told by the menu. Slow preparation, obstacles throughout the shooting, choice in the end, Beckett’s voice (!), testimonials: everything adds up to a three-part mini-saga for aficionados. (JPR)
