The duet Mariana Caló / Francisco Queimadela (The Mesh And The Circle, FID 2015) continues their work on the materiality of artworks. Originating from a residency at the José de Guimarães International Arts Centre, Luminous Shadow gets hold of objects from various collections, but also catalogues, conferences or conversations recorded on site, in order to manipulate them joyfully –a literal manipulation, which triggers a radical rearrangement of the film language as well as our vision of these works.
