Inspired by early 20th century photographs of a yearly procession from Jerusalem to Nebi Musa, near to Jericho, Sarah Beddington worked in a collaborative way in
approaching ideas around the use of open, public space and the freedom to move in a particular direction across it, inspired by a 12th century Sufi poem, The Logic of the Birds, by Persian poet Farid ud-Din Attar, aware of the eastern Mediterranean being on one of the world’s major bird migration routes.
