BERTRAND BELIN, MUSICIEN IDÉAL

The tone is set when Bertrand Belin reveals his sources for his song Amoureux fou, through an invocation of the incomparable Ella Fitzgerald on a tune by Cole Porter: I Love Paris, in which all the virtuosa’s melisma, and even the arrangements and orchestration come through. The revelation goes far beyond the figure of a young and elegant man holding an acoustic guitar or sitting at the piano.
