In the Land of Meadows is a feature length folk-film with both historical reenactments and documentary elements detailing the Norse discovery of North America in the year 999. Based on the Icelandic Sagas and archeological evidence, the film focuses on the clash between Viking settlers and local Native Americans as it relates to European conquest and the mythologizing of the New World.
