Before school, there is the way to school. It is a unique time and place, where apprehension merges with excitement, a space of freedom for children between the family home and the institution. This is where Buscando Patriotas is set in the company of school children as they cross the fabulous landscapes of Patagonia to join their friends. Under the camera’s watchful eye, the children play out their everyday lives, because this film is also the onscreen audition for a future feature that is to be shot in the region. Marí Alessandrini
