Loosely adapted from the novel, Lenz, by Georg Büchner, the film retraces the wanderings of the walker as he moves forward along the taut line drawn above the depths of his own madness. A winter’s tale with twilight echoes of romanticism coming to an end, Lenz Élégie unfolds as a sonata of imprecise and enveloping contours. The fragmented reading of the text by Büchner allows this fear of heights to rise to the surface before overcoming everything.
