Animal Glisse depicts the world of surfing. While this discipline evokes nature and communion with the elements, the 3D environment is computer generated. The viewer is immersed in a synthetic world where digital logic is substituted for the laws of nature, tides, the wave cycle, bird fl ight and the posturing of surfers. The narrative that creates these figures and algorithms within an image is put under scrutiny by modelling a similar world from natural parameters. Bertrand Dezoteux
