Tangled lines reveal faces when filmed up close by Christophe Bisson. Their author is Sarah(k.): Sarah Kaufman, the philosopher, who devoted herself to frontal drawings scribbled on card that were discovered after her death in 1994. The fingers that trace them and the voice that questions them belong to Philippe Boutibonnes, a writer and artist who was a close friend, show the energy of them without exhausting the enigma. This is filming as a gesture of friendship. (NF)
