As part of the casting process to find the lead part in Thierry de Peretti’s last film, Une Vie Violente, young Corsican men explain in front of the camera their relationship with their island, its past and its present. Their words draw the portrait of a whole generation, caught between the temptation of nationalism and dreams of a new beginning, somewhere else.
