Kittilä, in the north of Finland, is home to a lunar landscape: this is where the Finnish armed forces get rid of expired explosive devices by setting them off. This cheap method leaves a gaping crater. Jan Ijäs films the explosion and catches soldiers who stand there watching, all around the crater. (V.P.)
