A few minutes away from the tourist beaches of Lampelusa lies a big unsuspected cemetery: boats might be visible, but no tribute is paid to all the refugees lost at sea everyday off the coast of Italy. Alongside the beauty of images, Jan Ijäs reflects on the invisible: or rather, on what they don’t want us to see. (V.P.)
