NIGHT AND DAY

Hong Sang-soo

Hong Sang-soo’s first (digital) film outside Korea presents the diary of a compatriot on the run in the fourteenth arrondissement of Paris, terrified of being arrested for any reason (he has smoked cannabis) exaggerated by the Korean law. No one could imagine that under the biceps of an unbeaten master arm wrestler – extraordinary Kim Young-ho – hides a painter specializing in clouds. One who cries each night in the ear of his spouse and fails in front of a young charmingly skilful student. (AT)
