Juliette Joffé films the portrait of an actor haunted by his past roles. Anxious when he isn’t on stage, this “hero” embarks on an aimless journey, picking up a hitch- hiker on the way at night. The flow of his voice slowly reveals a childhood trauma, his words like an echo to the dark landscapes they are driving through. Then, the actor disappears into the mist, thus turning it into the red curtain of yet another theatre. (VP)
