À MA FAÇON

Francis Brou

In 33 short impish, oddly funny or disillusioned chapters, François Brou tells us the story of the many little mishaps of everyday life. These are so many nursery rhymes whose contours are falsely child-oriented, such as ‘The Swelling Man’, ‘From nothing to nothing’, or also ‘Learned cricket’. They are small plays in which he endows everyday objects with enchantment, animating them in stop-motion, accompanying his visual poems with his refrains. (NF)
