THE GREAT WALL

Tadhg O’Sullivan

The Great Wall of China conjures up a work of gigantic proportions. Yet it omits the approximately scattered fragments of this unfinished structure. The fantasy of an ideal wall still exists today. Economy never stops building it. Liberalism breeds such structures. Tadhg O’Sullivan has chosen to adapt Franz Kafka, the German text from his collection about the Empire, while showing images of recent archi- tectures with background music by Akira Rabelais, Kreng, Philip Jeck… Is it science fiction?
