THESE WALLS WERE BUILT BY DONALD JUDD

Sacha Pirker

The walls in the title were built in Marfa, Texas. They surround a building that was once used by famous minimalist sculptor Donald Judd for an exhibition in the 1970s. Sacha Pirker strides along the place, films it and records its story which is being told off-screen. In doing so, he unfolds a story, that of customs, and questions what architecture has to say, and what kind of perception and outlook it can induce. (NF)
