A class prepares a cinema screening: they darken the windowpanes and switch on the projector. The magic begins, images haunt the room and the children keep quiet. Archive films appear of the peaceful life of a village in Algeria and the public enthusiasm for the arrival of a mobile cinema. But little by little the overwhelming discourse on colonial power begins to take hold. The cinema tempest: weapon of dreams and propaganda, and the power still intact today just as it was yesterday.
