Hobo Clown is sat in a dark makeshift hut and idly watching time go by. A haunted character, he dreams of new horizons filled with light and colour. With this story that is not quite a story, Allison Schulnik plunges us into a magical and melancholic world, which takes her claymation to a domain rarely explored. Her films widen her artistic practice very much tied to painting, they choreograph her art and bring the discipline to life.
