Mili Pecherer
“Once upon a time, 3000 years ago, a ram died on a mountain top. Just before, we’d had our last picnic.” This is how Mili Pecherer sums up her latest work, the manifest sequel to her previous animation that featured her in a large pilgrim cloak surrounded by gazelles in the middle of a desert of low-resolution computer graphics. She sets herself the challenge of combining a Biblical tale, the quest for true wisdom, a thirst for happiness and a deliberately modest use of modern technology. And it’s totally uplifting, astutely melancholic and unwaveringly singleminded, displaying a truly artistic temperament.
