A shooting: the blocking, the settings, the resumptions. Antecâmara uses images captured by the camera in-between takes. Then a dialectic of the gaze, both determined and free, sets in between the point of view of the camera, for which everything is organized, and the disorganization of what it records between the takes. Also, emphasized by the soundtrack and its discreet counterpoints, a poetics of the interstice, in which the observation of the gesture and the wait prevails over its dramatic function. (N.L.)
