Joong-rae leaves town to be alone at the seaside resort of Shinduri so he can write a screenplay, but he gets distracted by an adventure with the partner of a friend. Upon returning to the coast two days later, with no news from Moon-sook who wants to surprise him with her arrival, he spends the night with another woman who reminds him of her. Haunted by the feeling of treason: the screenplay will not be written before we understand how to free others from the simplistic reduction of others’ jealousy. (AT)Hong Sang-soo
