Breaks of all content, the presence of foreigners in Hong Sang-soo’s work has always been somewhat of an exception. Here, Isabelle Huppert makes her debut as three different women on Mohang Beach, born in the imagination of a young Korean filmmaker. Whether she be a guest filmmaker at the festival of Jeonju, spouse and mistress of Korean men, or a divorcee drifting in search of a beacon to hang on to.
