In an industrial area of the region of Paris, Mao runs a small company that rents and repairs pallets. When he decides to create a mosque at the workplace, a conflict arises over the appointment of the imam. Stories about class relations, stories about the ties between work and religion: the red pallets become the makeshift stage of a new kind of political cinema.
