Residency and training programme

Launched in 2013, FIDCampus is a week-long residency, training and exchange programme for students from partner art and film schools and young international filmmakers. Each year, up to fifteen young filmmakers are selected on the basis of their latest film and their motivation, and take part in an intensive training programme. They begin the week with two days of mentoring and group discussions about their films, led by industry professionals (directors, directors of photography, editors, sound engineers), and continue with a programme packed with screenings, masterclasses and meetings organised for them.

Since 2025, FIDMarseille has further strengthened its commitment to international cooperation by stepping up its support for filmmakers, primarily from Mediterranean countries. This initiative aims to encourage the sharing of expertise, the networking of talent and co-creation between the regions concerned.

FIDCampus is being developed in collaboration with several partners: the City of Marseille, the Mucem, and Cinéfabrique — the National Film School in Lyon and Marseille — which awards the CinéFabrique Grant to one of the participants; COPEAM, which organises the À Première Vue Prize in conjunction with FIDCampus; and Maritima TV, which awards the PRIM0 MED IN DOC Broadcast Prize to one of the FIDCampus winners.

The 13th edition of FIDCampus

Fourteen young filmmakers from twelve countries will take part in the 13th edition of FIDCampus in 2026, hailing from France, Tunisia, Palestine, Turkey, Serbia, Algeria, Lebanon, Romania, Morocco, Armenia, South Korea and the Republic of the Congo. The 2026 cohort will be mentored by Caroline Champetier (cinematographer and director) alongside two other experts.
