Madrid, late 18th century. On the night of her first sitting for Goya, celebrated actress La Tirana attempts to leave her husband. With no means to do so, her parents compel her to pose for a portrait she never desired. As rehearsals, lovers, and rivalries unfold, she becomes forever fixed in history.
