Democratic Republic of Congo, 70’

Thirty years on, a filmmaker revisits a massacre that shattered his family in eastern Congo. As he confronts three generations and their silence, he uncovers how fear is passed on and asks whether breaking that silence can finally transform what has been inherited. Banana barks figurines and stop motion animation give a face to the missing and record the memory of a place erased by war, creating an imaginary space that transforms the burden into a source of healing and creative power.
