Idolero trades in archaeological artefacts that he digs up with his children on the outskirts of Mexico City. Rojo, an actor living in a wooden house deep in the jungle of the Gulf of Mexico, is obsessed with reconstructing conversations with objects he has unearthed from the ground. In Mesoamerican times, two young people fall in love and vanish into the wilderness. Space disintegrates; the land holds memory captive.
