End of the Present is a hybrid film built from surveillance footage of my mother’s home and our recorded phone calls. As her fears intensify, her voice describes threats the images do not confirm. Between distance and proximity, the film traces a fracture between perception and reality, shaping an intimate portrait mediated by technology, care, and time.
