Ciment, Cement

A group of young actors gathers around Heiner Müller’s play Cement, which explores themes of love, war, and revolution. Meanwhile, Emily, who initiated the project, goes scouting locations around cement factories with a friend. Between the factories and rehearsals, the distance gets closer, and the staging empowers each actor to name their emotions—and to move from acting to real-life performance.
