In partnership with
Atelier des artistes en exil
Since 2023, in partnership with L’Atelier des artistes en exil, FIDMarseille has been inviting filmmakers living in exile to select nine films for the festival’s competition programme, which will be screened in cinemas in Marseille. These screenings are followed by a discussion between the directors and these artists. The mission of the Atelier des artistes en exil is to identify artists in exile from all backgrounds and across all disciplines, to support them in light of their circumstances and their administrative and artistic needs, to provide them with workspaces, and to put them in touch with professionals in order to empower them to explore their art and rebuild their lives.
