At once painter and photographer, he is also a multi-faceted writer, with poetry, novels, plays and essays to his name. Film-making, which he learnt not at school but from the cinema itself, is at the confluence of all his artistic practices. In 2007, he began a fruitful collaboration with Shellac (Thomas Ordonneau). In partnership with the Film Flamme collective, they have been working together on a project for the revival of cinema in Laos. Their collaboration has so far yielded three films: Exile ends here (2010) ; Tuk tuk (2012) ; Goodbye Mister Wong, selected at the international competition at FIDMarseille 2020.
