A cat wakes up in a world covered in water, where the entire human race seems to have disappeared. He seeks refuge on a boat with a group of other animals. But getting along with them proves to be an even greater challenge than overcoming his fear of water! Everyone will need to learn to overcome their differences and adapt to this new world they find themselves in.
Gints Zilbalodis (1994) is a Latvian filmmaker and animator. His first feature, Away, which he directed entirely himself, won the Prix Contrechamp for best feature at Annecy. It has been selected for over 90 festivals and sold in 18 territories. His fascination with filmmaking began at an early age, watching classic films and making short films. Prior to Away, he made 7 short films in a variety of media, including hand-drawn animation, 3D animation and live action, often blending their distinctive aesthetics.
Flow is his second animated feature, which had its world premiere in the Un certain regard section at Cannes.
