Themroc, Themroc

Claude Faraldo

France, 1973, Color, 105’

Themroc, a confirmed bachelor and painter-decorator, leads a monotonous life until one day an absurd incident pushes him to revolt. His boss fires him without good reason. Like a wild animal, he flies into an incredible rage, leaves his work and goes home. There, he turns his bedroom into a sort of den, and encourages the locals to revert to a caveman lifestyle. Spending their days making love, the neighbours seem to be on the verge of creating a new world.
