Young girls are wandering in the forest, gingered up in the fields, chatting away and stretched out under the trees. What they’re saying to each other isn’t quite clear: they speak Polish. Suddenly, we look at them before anything else, it’s Sharon Lockhart inviting us, such a delicate painter as she usually is. What they say, we’ll find out later, translated as an isolated block scrolling down the screen, much like a poem. Weaving sweetness and exhilaration, gaze and admiration, quiet and subtle things to say – that is the bet. (JPR)
