Ivan Argote is a sculptor, a trade he applies himself to and always successfully manages in, surprisingly every time, letting a third dimension rise above the pictures. It’s his own hand, in an ancient tradition, useful to him here as an instrument to demonstrate it with flow. And yet there’s no formalism here, this reflection on tools, his hand - the use of colors of cinema as well - is done following the thread of the well-known rhetoric of the Cinétracts. (JPR)
