A work in progress, H is the result of a long editing process through which experimental and prolific Austrian director Johann Lurf has patiently searched for, cut and compiled all the shots of starry skies in films, from Méliès all the way to today. The outcome is an interstellar journey through times, landscapes and languages, and through cinema of course. Lurf answers Kant’s injunction “The starry heavens above me and the moral law within me” by spangling our souls with stars as well. (JPR)
