To coincide with its theatrical release, FIDMarseille invites you to rediscover Guto Parente’s Morte e Vida Madalena, winner of the Ciné+ Prize at the 36th edition of FID (2025). Screenings will be followed by a Q&A with the director and will be introduced by Nathan Letoré, film critic (22 May), and by Anastasiia Kleshchenko, programming coordinator at FID (28 May).
Eight months pregnant, Madalena is the producer of a science-fiction film written by her recently deceased father. As the shoot descends into chaos, she must save the film before the baby is born. A queer, radiant, and heartfelt comedy.
