Madrid, 1979. Degree in Media Studies (2002) and Master in Creative Documentary by the Pompeu-Fabra University of Barcelona (2006). Since 2001 he has worked in advertising, television and cinema combining that professional activity (BBC, History Channel, National Geographic) with personal projects focused on documentary filmmaking: The fourth ring (2006) and N-VI (2012) were awarded at the Málaga IFF, Márgenes, MiradasDoc, SEMINCI, Lima Independiente or Documenta Madrid. In 2013 he became artistic director of Curtocircuíto – International Film Festival (Spain) from where he has curated retrospectives together with Ulrich Seidl, Peter Greenaway, Jørgen Leth, Aki Kaurismäki, Abel Ferrara and Sergei Loznitsa. He is also programming at LA OLA – Spanish Cinema Showcase in Los Angeles (US) and teaches in the University Expert Course in Cultural Management at Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. He has been juror at Curtas Vila do Conde IFF, Riga International Film Fest, L’Alternativa – Festival de Cinema Independent de Barcelona or Hamburg International Short Film Festival, among others. He is also founding member and secretary of Proxecta – Galician Film Festivals Association.
He is currently developing his next feature film, Mountain or Death produced by Zeitun Films.
