From one mythology to the next, Diana becomes Artemis, a figure of the day, the sun, or else of the moon, a paradoxical virginal goddess, linked to women giving birth. These shimmering representations of a legendary woman become successive characters in Christophe Bisson’s film. Without giving body to each of these apparitions, the director puts forward an hypothetical figure, like Echo disappearing into the repetition of the other characters’ words. The long hollowed-out shots are open to all interpretations.
