Fabrice Lauterjung knows that films are knit through sound as much as with images, and consist of their interlacings. Loyal to his usual rigor, from a poem by Eric Suchère, who juggles himself with the hypothesis of movement and stasis, of momentum and pause, Lauterjung calculates a rhythmicized cinema, the sovereign equivalent of the text’s work, authorizing and provoking a cheerful mix of austerity as much as speed.
