Rester, Stay

A brief wandering through the narrow alleys of Marrakech, an attempt to belong, a step toward a lost homeland, a land and a culture that flows in the blood, but does not dwell in the heart. There may be many reasons to it, but the wanderer seeks to close the distance ; she yearns to truly see and appreciate for the first time those landscapes she left behind, forgot and used to ignore, as if they had never been hers.

Amal Boulaala was born in Nizhny Novgorod in 2005 and grew up between Morocco and Russia, where she completed her secondary education. She is currently a third-year student at the Superior School of Visual Arts in Marrakech, developing her own style and artistic vision, guided by sincerity, restraint, and poetry, which she seeks to bring out through the simplest of stories.
