Matei Filip is a young director and writer from Romania. He holds a degree in film directing from Babeș-Bolyai University. During his studies, he wrote and directed several short films that were screened at film festivals across Europe. In 2026, he was nominated for the Young Hope Award at the Romanian Film Awards for his work as a director on his films Eleni.Kalimera and Fruits Are Bitter, You Are Sweeter. Currently, he is in the final stages of post-production on his latest film, The Mandible of Saint Anthony.
