Within the beauty of the super8 images, another beauty reveals itself – a beauty relating to childhood. Between evocation and recollection, the director leads us along the tracks of her past in Haiti. Light, wind, and earth; so many traces of a time where as a child she would wander the vastness of a landscape, discovering a world that is today long gone. A suspension of time to waylay this loss, an ode to childhood which accompanies us throughout our lives.
