From an instruction given out by the director, “I am counting up to three; at three, you die”, teenagers act out – with their bodies, their voices and their impressions – their final moments. Alongside theatre – which these dying bodies refer to, caught between their recent childhood and the adult world close at their heels – the imagination and fantasies surrounding death borrow from powerful contemporary references, video games, mass media and films. When the images are superimposed onto other images, they present a vision in 2D.
