X-Ville, X-Ville

Architect, town-planner, philosopher and dreamer, Yona Friedman is at the heart of the collective experiments put in place by Jordi Colomer. Fragments of “Utopies réalisables» [Realisable Utopias] and “Où commence la ville ?” [Where does the town begin?] are read out, as tens and tens of residents bring the words to life in their painted cardboard town. Colomer dramatises modern urban society and plays at reinventing the world and playfully investigating what separates the do-able from the utopian, the useful from the useless and the individual from the collective.
