They are just hitting adolescence or just growing out of it and live in Grendelbruch, a village in Alsace on the edge of a forest in the shadow of their fathers who are obsessed with hunting and trucks. They conform to the male roles prescribed by their families and seem irrevocably destined to replicate them. Quentin, 19, feels out of place in this isolated community.
